GLK-Class Off Roader Comfort

Multimedia systems

The GLK provides plenty of listening enjoyment when you’re on the move. You can choose between three high-end audio systems.

The Audio 20 CD radio features a 5-inch colour display, a CD player which can also play MP3 files, an optional 6-disc CD changer plus a Bluetooth® interface.

The Audio 50 APS which is available as an optional extra combines precise 2-D map navigation, incl. TMC automatic traffic alerts, with entertainment systems such as DVD drive and radio.

With the optional COMAND APS multimedia system you'll reach your destination fully relaxed and without detours. It combines audio settings with a telephone and navigation system.

The optimised operating system makes the controls more user-friendly and intelligent than ever before. The swivelling 7-inch colour display is positioned at the same height as the instrument cluster and thus ideally within the driver's field of vision.

COMAND APS can be controlled either via an input pad in the centre console, using the multifunction steering wheel or via the controller in front of the armrest. All key functions can now also be accessed using voice control: The optional LINGUATRONIC voice-operated control system (as part of Audio 50 APS with 6-DVD changer and COMAND APS systems) allows you to simply access numerous on-board functions via spoken commands. This allows you to concentrate fully on traffic while driving both safely and comfortably.

An integrated Bluetooth® interface also provides safe hands-free operation using the mobile phone. The DVD player plays CDs and MP3 files as well as video and audio DVDs. The navigation system hard drive can store up to 6 GB of MP3 songs. And using the PCMCIA slot and external media, unlimited additional memory capacity can be added.

Harman Kardon® LOGIC7® surround sound system

The optional Harman Kardon® Logic 7® surround-sound system with Dolby Digital 5.1 and 450 W output turns every journey into an acoustic experience. With twelve high-performance speakers and Logic 7® multi-channel technology, you'll feel as though you're in a concert hall – wherever you're sitting. And as you drive, the volume automatically adjusts according to the speed of your vehicle.

Rear-seat entertainment system

As an option the front seat head restraints can be furnished with 8-inch monitors which can display DVD videos. The innovative rear-seat entertainment system consists of a DVD player, two high-resolution 8-inch TFT colour displays and two sets of headphones. All functions can be comfortably operated by remote control.
