CLS Shooting Brake: All-wheel drive

Forwards thrust on all wheels

4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive enables the vehicle to move off and accelerate powerfully – even on poor road surfaces and in adverse weather conditions. The 4MATIC is always active and requires no response time to intervene.

  • Enormously powerful: 4MATIC renders conventional differential locks superfluous, because 4ETS improves pulling away on low-grip surfaces and enhances stability in demanding handling situations.
  • Supporting systems: The 4MATIC all-wheel drive system is assisted by the ESP® Electronic Stability System as well as the 4ETS Electronic Traction System.
  • It’s your choice: The CLS Shooting Brake with permanent al-wheel drive is available in a diesel-powered and a petrol-engine powered version. The two models CLS 350 CDI 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY and CLS 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY are available.
