The diesel engines for the E-Class Cabriolet combine qualities that for a long time were considered incompatible: maximum pulling power and smoothness of operation. At the same time they use the least amount of fuel ever – thanks to the innovative technology of the Mercedes-Benz package of BlueEFFICIENCY measures.
Mercedes engineers have achieved an outstanding result with regard to agility, smooth operation, consumption figures and emissions in the 4-cylinder diesel engine with two output levels. It offers an impressively full torque in combination with low fuel consumption. Technologies from the BlueEFFICIENCY package were taken for each model in order to achieve the greatest possible degree of environmental friendliness.
